About the Role:
To be instrumental in the growth and development of an industry-leading, privately-owned commercial Real Estate company.
This role would be a great opportunity for a graduate with a couple of years of experience in an analyst position. Ideally, we’re looking for someone with a background in private equity or investment banking, along with a numerate degree.
Within an established investment team, this role will take on both the commercial, private sector as well as the diverse public sector; insightfully supporting the MDs by researching and performing due diligence on new sectors, new strategies and corporate and business acquisitions.
You will be expected to deliver concise, accurate and effective underwriting and reporting, present confident pitches to both internal and external stakeholders, provide top-of-the-class investment advice and drive the profitable revenue growth and development of the business to new highs.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable in taking on a challenge, who finds new ways of creating successes and who has the knowledge and capability needed to take command of their duties and contribute to our ongoing expansion.
Main Duties:
- Assisting the senior Investment and Capital Markets team as required.
Researching and performing due diligence on:
- New sectors
- New strategies
- Corporate and business acquisitions
- Encompassing both top-down analysis of the macro environment, industry dynamics, and competitive landscape, and bottom-up analysis of options for practical implementation.
Assisting the senior team in:
- Launching new strategies
- Sourcing capital
- Business acquisitions
- Producing Board/ExCo /Investment Committee/client presentations and papers
- Creating and analysing financial models for underwriting, valuation, due diligence and scenario analysis
- Cashflow modelling of potential acquisitions across different real estate sectors
The job will involve opportunities to travel the UK to inspect potential opportunities as part of the due diligence process
Requirements:
- A numerate degree (minimum 2:1)
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in a similar role
- Advanced excel modelling skills and high proficiency in all MS products
- Demonstrably strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Strong real estate knowledge inc. broad market fundamentals
- Excellent proficiency in financial cash-flow modelling
