The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), is accepting applications for Fiscal Year 2025 Student Volunteers. This program offers valuable hands-on experience in federal IT operations. OCIO delivers innovative technology solutions, modernizes IT systems, and ensures secure, reliable services for over 15,000 DOL employees nationwide. Job Requirements

Investment Management: Ability to work well in a team environment Ability to communicate orally and in writing to a variety of audiences Excellent interpersonal skills A working knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft: Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. Students must have an academic background in information technology, business, or a related field. Enterprise Architecture: This internship provides excellent professional experience for students who are seeking or pursuing Computer Science, Data Science and Engineering degrees. As an intern in this role, you'll have an opportunity to leverage your degree experience. In this role, students will perform a variety of general information technology duties that include but are not limited to: Installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining customer software. Implementing instructions, policies, procedures, and standards for information technology (IT) programs, services, operations, and/or customer support. Performing System Analysis for applications. Responding to and resolving customer requests for services. Assist and prepare design documents on assigned projects. Assist with day-to-day administrative operations by performing IT engineering related tasks or other functions. Assist in project oversight. Providing customer training on systems, applications, and equipment; and the work also consists of administrative related tasks in support of IT projects to include, AI, Machine Learning, research, drafting documents, as well as design and project management support. Enterprise Help Desk: Currently enrolled in an accredited educational institution. Interest in Information Technology, Customer Support, or a related field. Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional environment. Commitment to learning and supporting IT modernization efforts.
