Postdoctoral Researcher

Assistant Professor, tenure track (RTD-B), Department of Physics and Astronomy, University of Padua A 3 years research grant (Assegno di Ricerca) is available at the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Padua. The position is funded by the ERC project NEUROLIDAR (10.3030/101163003) and aims to grant research on the development of optical neural interfaces for time-resolved vibrational spectroscopy in deep brain regions. The goal is to introduce novel methods for neural spectroscopy (for example Raman and SERS) and endoscopy through micro and nanostructured photonic probes based on multimode optical fibers. The researcher will work on the development and fabrication of the probes as well as on the development of advanced optical systems, participating in an interdisciplinary environment across the Department of Physics and Astronomy and the Padova Neuroscience Center. The researcher will have a primary role in experimental activities, in writing scientific papers, and presenting research results at international conferences.
