Job Description
The International Diplomacy Initiative (IDI) is an independent and non-profit organization. IDI aims to provide students from various backgrounds with the knowledge and platform to advance diplomacy globally. IDI promotes diplomacy, peace, and dialogue by collaborating with foreign embassies and leading institutes. Role Description This is a volunteer (unpaid) Chapter President role at IDI, with the flexibility of a remote work setup. The Chapter President will lead and manage the local chapter, organize events, facilitate diplomacy discussions, and engage with students and community members. The role is primarily based in the Rome Metropolitan Area. Qualifications Currently enrolled in a university, preferably based in Rome. Fluency in both Italian and English (mandatory). Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Experience in event planning and management, with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Demonstrated interest or background in diplomacy, international relations, or global affairs. Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively within a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual communication tools (e.g., Zoom, Teams). Prior experience in student organizations, non-profits, or similar initiatives is highly desirable.
