Job Description
Early years practitioner/ Early years teacher- PUTNEY Salary: £31,369. TERM TIME ONLY- with 4 weeks annually required to work in the schools holiday club Approximate hours: 7.30/8am-5pm Monday-Friday. It’s a TTO role with 4 weeks across the year to work across our holiday clubs. Our client is looking to appoint an experienced, well-qualified and reflective Early Years Practitioner. They have a passion for early years and are keen to support other colleagues to develop and improve across all Key Stages. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: To deliver educational programmes to children to support their development and learning through effective planning that identified the intent of these programmes and successful implementation strategies that demonstrate excellent quality teaching. To design and deliver a range of learning opportunities that can have impact on children’s progress and shape their dispositions and attitudes towards learning. To use effective tools to monitor children’s progress, using the EYFS framework, and use this information to report on the progress they are making in their learning. To conduct evaluations that inform and shape planning (intent) and delivery (implementation), evaluating the impact of teaching on children’s learning and promoting the characteristics of effective teaching and learning. To provide opportunities for parents to extend their children’s learning. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE: -hold a Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education. -have experience of working with young children, particularly aged 2-5, and families, identifying support for developing children’ learning. -have experience of working as part of a team. -ideally, have experience of teaching and delivering planned learning experiences -a good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS, Ofsted Education Inspection Framework and relevant current legislation. -a good understanding of the developmental needs of young children, particularly 2- to 5-year-olds -a good understanding of what constitutes a quality Early Education environment. -an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of safeguarding requirements and procedures. -a good understanding of how to make accurate assessments of children’s learning and development and then devise appropriate next steps to their learning. -a commitment to inclusive and non-discriminatory working practice with children, families, colleagues, and the community -good observational and assessment skills and the experience of maintaining accurate learning records for children. the ability to communicate effectively with parents and colleagues. -good teaching skills, including scaffolding, demonstrating and role modelling positive interactions with children. -good planning skills Best Start Recruitment want to help you to make the right choice in your next career move.
