Toolmaker Annual Salary: Negotiable Location: Tredegar Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Our client based in Tredegar is seeking a Toolmaker to join their dynamic team, responsible for the servicing and maintenance of all injection moulding and press tools on site. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and possesses a strong understanding of tool maintenance. Day-to-day of the role: Work as part of the core toolmaking team to carry out tasks unsupervised, resolving tooling breakdowns and completing improvement tasks and planned maintenance. Support the Tooling Engineer in achieving all maintenance tasks on tooling. Conduct maintenance health and safety, and environmental tasks including legionella checks, fire alarm system checks, and risk assessments. Update and maintain various spreadsheets related to weekly maintenance workload and team efficiencies. Required Skills & Qualifications: Completion of a 4-year indentured apprenticeship. City & Guilds or O.N.C in mechanical or electrical engineering is beneficial. Experience in an injection moulding/manufacturing environment is advantageous. Strong understanding of injection moulding tools, press/deep drawing tools, and general maintenance tools. Familiarity with preventative maintenance techniques such as predictive and planned maintenance.
