Behaviour Mentor / Teaching Assistant Location: Balham Start Date: ASAP Contract: Full-Time Key Stage: KS2 A wonderful opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant mainstream primary school in Balham. This role is focused on supporting Key Stage 2 pupils with behavioural and special educational needs (SEN). Behaviour Mentor / Teaching Assistant Key Details: Start Date: Immediate start. Contract: Full-time, long-term role. Location: Balham, easily accessible by public transport. Specialism: Behaviour and SEN support for Key Stage 2 pupils. Responsibilities Include: Providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils with behavioral challenges. Assisting in managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a positive learning environment. Implementing strategies and interventions to support students with SEN. Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff members to promote inclusion and progress. Building strong, positive relationships with pupils to foster trust and engagement. Candidate Requirements: Experience: Prior experience working with SEN and managing challenging behaviours in a school setting. Skills: Excellent communication, patience, and resilience. Knowledge: Understanding of SEN strategies and behavior management techniques. Passion: A genuine commitment to supporting and improving outcomes for children with additional needs.
