About Advisory Our advisory function specialises in providing high-impact consultancy services across a range of industries. Our clients are vendors, buyers and investors in the markets we serve. The specific project types include, but are not limited to, market strategy, digital strategy, market sizing, acquisitions scans, commercial due diligence, thought leadership and vendor selection. In particular for this role, we are looking for demonstrable skills and expertise in building market size and forecast models. Salary opportunity is £55,000 - £60,000 depending on experience level, plus a very competitive quarterly bonus scheme. This is a hybrid role which requires 3 days a week in the office during probationary period, and will decrease to 2 days upon successful completion. What you’ll be doing… Client Interaction Join our sales team members on calls with qualified clients to understand the specific client requirements Raise questions, queries or suggestions to clients concerning the brief Proposal Management: Lead the development of proposals for advisory projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements, budgets, and timelines. Where appropriate, coordinate input from advisory, sales, and other teams to craft tailored, persuasive proposals. Monitor and manage proposal progress, ensuring deadlines are met and high standards are maintained. Process Improvement: Establish and drive best practices in proposal writing and management within the sales team. Develop templates, guidelines, and resources to streamline the proposal process. Provide training and support to enhance the proposal writing skills of the sales team. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Work closely with the sales team to understand client needs and objectives. Partner with senior advisory team members on strategic or complex proposals. Act as a bridge between advisory and sales teams, ensuring alignment and seamless communication. Quality Assurance: Conduct quality reviews of proposals to ensure consistency, clarity, and alignment with our brand and messaging. Incorporate feedback from clients and internal stakeholders to refine and improve proposals. Performance Tracking and Reporting: Track and analyse proposal outcomes, identifying trends and areas for improvement. Provide regular updates and insights to the Head of Advisory on proposal activity and success rates What we’re looking for… Educated to at least BA / BSc level with a preference for top-tier universities - desirable to have a relevant MSc Proven experience (three to four years as a minimum) in proposal development, preferably in a consultancy, research, or professional services environment. We are equally open to consultants with a delivery grounding who have developed sales expertise, or individuals with a purer consulting sales / bid/ proposal manager background Strong track record of managing proposals for projects in the £25k–£500k range. Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously. Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others. A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process improvement and driving change.
