The Role As a Tax Paralegal , you will play an integral role in supporting the Tax Practice Area by managing a variety of tasks and projects. This is a hands-on position that involves collaboration with attorneys and other professionals to deliver top-tier service to clients. Key Responsibilities Assist with preparation for interviews, productions, depositions, hearings, trials, client meetings, and transactional closings. Conduct research using tools such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, and other industry-specific platforms, providing insightful guidance to attorneys. Retrieve and organise materials, including cases, statutes, rules, and filings, ensuring accurate and timely access to information. Support the team in maintaining and improving file integrity, case management systems, and internal workflows. Participate in Tax Practice Area initiatives and projects, contributing to the department’s ongoing success. Manage resources responsibly while adhering to firm policies and procedures. What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate will bring a combination of technical expertise, legal acumen, and exceptional organisational skills. Key qualifications include: A Law Degree, Graduate Diploma in Law, or similar qualification. 1-3 years of experience in a legal assistant role or comparable position. A solid understanding of Tax Practice Area concepts and procedures. Proficiency in relevant software, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to quickly learn new systems. Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and organizational skills. The ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced, demanding environment while maintaining meticulous attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills to foster effective collaboration. A flexible approach to hours and the ability to travel when required. Why Join This Firm?
