Job Description

Position: As PR Assistant you will provide essential support to the PR team in their day-to-day operations, assisting with media outreach, sample coordination, events, and digital initiatives across Liberty Retail’s beauty, fashion, and interiors categories. Reporting to the PR & Communications Lead, the role is focused on helping to raise Liberty’s brand profile while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced PR environment. Main Responsibilities: Provide day-to-day support to the PR team in executing Liberty Retail’s UK PR activities. Assist with media and influencer outreach, including responding to enquiries, sending press releases, coordinating sample send-outs, and supporting press and influencer events. Help secure media coverage across print, digital, and social platforms by assisting with pitching stories and building relationships with journalists and influencers. Draft press materials such as media alerts, newsletters, and event invitations. Coordinate sample loans and product send-outs, ensuring smooth tracking and organisation. Assist in maintaining relationships with journalists and influencers across fashion, beauty, and lifestyle sectors. Support event planning, logistics, and on-site coordination for press and influencer events. Stay updated on emerging social media trends, including Instagram and TikTok, as well as competitor activity. Help monitor and track press coverage, influencer activity, and PR campaign performance as well as build impact reports. Provide administrative support to the PR & Communications team, including maintaining databases and assisting with vendor relationships. Skills & Qualifications: Strong organisational skills with a detail-oriented and professional approach to tasks. A proactive attitude, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Interest in media, fashion, beauty, and lifestyle trends, with a willingness to learn and grow within the PR field. Proficient using Microsoft Office programs (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook). Experience with media monitoring software is a bonus. A team player with a collaborative mindset and a positive attitude. Previous internship or work experience in PR, marketing, or communications is desirable but not essential. This role is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to develop their PR skills and gain experience working with a leading luxury retailer.
