Job Description

We are working with a leading law firm seeking a dynamic and customer-focused HR Advisor to join their team. This role is pivotal in providing efficient and effective HR services across various staff categories, including Apprenticeships, Trainees, Paralegals, Legal Support, and Business Services. You will manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle. Key Responsibilities will include: Employee Lifecycle Management : Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and employment terms. Provide guidance on performance management, employee relations, and exits. Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal policies. Graduate Recruitment Programme : Manage the recruitment and selection process for Trainee Solicitors, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience. Apprenticeship Support : Support the Apprenticeship programmes, ensuring effective engagement and development opportunities. Graduate and Work Experience Programmes : Develop and manage the graduate work placement and A-level work experience initiatives. Learning and Development : Support learning and development activities for all staff groups. HR Team Collaboration : Work closely with HR colleagues to achieve team objectives and share best practices. Participate in cross-departmental projects and firm-wide initiatives. Policy and Procedure Compliance : Ensure HR practices comply with their policies and applicable laws. Specialist Skills Required Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks. Clear and concise communication and writing skills. Experience in professional services HR, preferably in a law firm. Excellent numerical and analytical abilities. Commercial awareness and understanding of legal and business matters. Proven project management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR databases (experience with OpenHR preferred). . Qualifications and Experience Required Minimum A-level standard education; a degree is preferred. CIPD qualification or equivalent in Personnel & Development. Experience in an HR team within a professional services environment.
