About Simple Group Simple is the first brokerage insurtech to digitize and industrialize the entire insurance value chain. Founded in 2015 by Eric Mignot (Chairman), Anthony Jouannau (CEO) and Salah Hamida (Deputy CEO and CTO), Simple acts as a wholesale broker and distributes, via a network of 8,000 proximity brokers, 30 insurance products to approx. 250 professional niches. Headquartered in Marseille, the company has more than 200 employees and a consolidated revenue of €74 million. Simple secured a round of growth financing of €90 million, in March 2022 led by KKR’s Next Generation Technology Growth Fund II and with participation from Simple’s founders, Tikehau Capital and existing investors Eurazeo and Speedinvest. With this new round of investment, Simple aims to pursue its buy & build strategy to become Europe’s reference broker for professionals. The strategy will rely primarily on (1) further developing its technological platform, (2) expanding the sectors and solutions currently covered, (3) reinforcing its network of proximity brokers, and (4) increasing its geographical footprint across Europe. Simple aims to reorganize and reinforce its current setup with the creation of autonomous country operations, exclusively dedicated to organic growth, as well as group functions, which will focus on the development of the technological platform and the inorganic agenda of group. Main tasks on the job: Reporting to the Group Head of Financial Planning and Analysis, you will help for producing budgets, financial landings, month end closings and analyses for all group entities on all its financial statements (commercial performance (including Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), New Business, Churn and Price Variation), revenue, Opex / Capex, cash-flow forecast, …). Aim of the internship: to gain a complete overview of a fintech's budget and monthly reporting processes. Participate in the monthly reporting process by updating the files used to model sales performance, revenue, labor costs and Opex. Help coordinate the budget and quarterly forecasts process with the BUs (France, Italy, DACH and Spain), and consolidate data. Participate in the preparation of documents presented at monthly business reviews and budget meetings (ARR KPIs, P&L, Free Cash Flow) Help provide various ad hoc analysis. The profile : You are currently pursuing a Master 2 in Finance. You have an aptitude for data analysis and are proficient in Excel and Oracle NSPB. You are comfortable in French and in English, both written and spoken. You possess good communication skills, demonstrate discretion, and can organize your work autonomously. You are rigorous and precise.
