Job Description

We are partnered with a Global Investment Management Firm, based in the West End who are seeking an experienced individual to join them as a Business Development Manager. In this role, you will play a key part in the Wholesale Business Development team, providing essential support to service and develop mutually beneficial relationships with the distribution community. Main Responsibilities: Act as key liaison with various internal teams including Product, Data, RFP, Business Intelligence, Legal, Compliance and Investor Services Managing internal stakeholders Handle all incoming client requests, including RFP / due diligence requests, fund comparison requests and performance or fund specific requests Organize client meetings with fund managers and liaise with Product team to arrange the presentation for the meeting Managing client onboarding and account opening, and resolve any trading issues Coordinate the sending of ad hoc and regular reports to clients Arrange the sending of newsletters to clients to promote funds and keep clients informed Event organization for both internal (webinars and investment lunches) and external events, including arranging post event follow up and maintaining the central event management tool Manage the stock of marketing material and goodies for distribution at events Manage the client database (Salesforce) – ensuring client data is up to date Propose ideas and suggestions for enhancements on process and tools to provide best in class client service Liaise with the Legal team to arrange legal agreements Assisting with new product launches Manage relationships with UK investment platforms and handle the onboarding of funds to the platforms Review and proofread client material (fund presentations, marketing documents and website content) Provide ad-hoc support to the Head of UK Business Development and Business Development team Being pro-active and idea generating within the team Prepare topics for and chair the weekly team meeting to keep the team informed on recent developments and initiatives relating to client servicing and CRM subjects General data management and clean-up Desired Attributes and Skills: Previous investment fund and/or asset management and client service/sales support experience required Good knowledge of investment management, investment products and financial markets Good understanding of client types – Wealth Managers, Discretionary Managers, Advice Professionals This position requires excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills Highly motivated and dynamic personality Must be a team player and work well with corresponding local teams and members of the wider organization Demonstrating superior client service and operational skills for all daily tasks, striving for support excellence A supportive, persuasive telephone manner with clients Courteous, open-minded, pro-active and flexible at all times Professional demeanour in the office and when representing the company during public events Adequate handling of confidential information Ability to handle a wide range of questions and projects with minimal direction and meeting deadlines Good eye for detail, diligent and structured Reliable and able to commit required hours as dictated by the volume of work Computer proficiency The role requires occasional travelling Having both wholesale experience is a plus Graduate/post-graduate degree in a business-related discipline IMC desirable
