Job Description

Principal Designer Are you an experienced Principal Designer with a passion for Health & Safety in architecture? If you thrive on responsibility, collaboration, and the freedom to deliver impactful results, this role could be the perfect next step in your career. We’re seeking a dynamic individual to join our London team, overseeing a variety of bespoke architectural projects while driving new business opportunities. With a progressive culture and entrepreneurial approach, this position offers a unique blend of project leadership, client engagement, and team development. Role Highlights: As Principal Designer, you will: Advise project teams and clients on Health & Safety risk management in line with CDM 2015 regulations. Manage and coordinate Health & Safety during the pre-construction phase. Provide consistent guidance across projects, ensuring best practices and compliance. Prepare and issue Health & Safety files and design risk assessments. Deliver in-house training and contribute to developing guidance materials. Lead on fee proposals for Principal Designer services. About You: Essential: A minimum of 10 years’ experience in CDM. CMIOSH Chartered Member of IOSH and APS membership. Strong understanding of design and construction methodologies. Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to manage tasks effectively. Resilience, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure. Legal right to work in the UK and eligible for security clearance. Desirable: A degree in architecture, architectural technology, or construction/engineering.
