Founding Engineer (Full-Stack)

About Serra Serra is the easiest way to find who you want to hire. We're building an AI-driven search engine for recruiters to find best-fit candidates, both within their ATS and outside of it. Serra is backed by the likes of YCombinator, Volo Ventures, ZVentures, and one of the cofounders of YouTube (Jawed Karim). We've grown 150% month over month in the last 3 months and are looking for people who want to build the future of search. About the Role You'll ship customer-driven features—a typical project will require database work (Databricks, OpenSearch), full-stack experience with Next.JS, TypeScript, and React, and work with LLMs. As the first engineering hire, you'll touch every part of our tech stack and have the opportunity to set a strong engineering culture within the company. What We're Looking For In short, you must have experience with: Next.js, TypeScript, React, AWS, Postgres, You should have proven experience building fast, responsive products—whether in professional roles or through personal projects. 2 years of working as a full-stack engineer—from Frontend to Data Infrastructure. New graduates are also welcome Nice-to-haves: OpenSearch (Elasticsearch), LLMs, Data Engineering (Databricks) Compensation $130k-170k Salary 0.5%-1% equity Above all else, we're looking for really smart and kind individuals who want to build something that will shape the recruiting industry. The cofounders have been best friends for more than a decade, and we want to bring that camaraderie with our first hire as well.
