Role Summary You will be accountable for developing and maintaining Consilium's Lloyds and London market insurer relations. You'll be expected to work with the team strategy proposed to secure team growth by ensuring the best deals available to help with new business placement and high-level renewal retention. Role Accountabilities: To negotiate the best possible terms and conditions for our clients, using appropriate knowledge, expertise, and market presence for the desired cover. Working with colleagues to ensure that all new and renewal business, mid-term amendments, and general enquiries are handled promptly and professionally. Develop strong and long-term relationships with clients and markets, always looking at ways to improve this relationship. To ensure that departmental procedures are followed, you can use mandatory departmental documentation, such as market sheets and checklists. Liaise with other division members to assess client requirements and broking strategy on any particular risk. Ensure time management and attention to detail are always met to a high standard. Provide and undertake training as required by your line manager. Any additional duties as assigned. Role Requirements: We're looking for someone with a solid background as an account handler, particularly in the property and casualty line of business. Previous experience in processing London market documentation, specifically MRCs and slips. We are committed to supporting your learning and development and are eager to help you expand your expertise to become a P&C placing broker. Insurance qualifications, e.g. CII (preferred) At least 5 A Grade (or equivalent) GCSE including English and Maths Skills and Abilities: Excellent relationship-building and effective management of relationships with stakeholders across all levels. Ability to review a London Market Reform Contract and identify errors in others' work. Highly customer and results-driven goals, good commercial sense. Persuasive communication and strong collaboration. Professional approach with an outcome-focused and positive attitude. Knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook. Excellent verbal and written communication. Ability to multitask, maintain conflicting priorities, and work well under pressure. Able to build trust by operating with integrity and professionalism. Excellent attention to detail. Data savvy and literate with strong analytical skills. Organisation and planning skills.
