Mind Partners is an executive search firm with offices in London, Paris and New York. We specialise in retained headhunting for executives, senior management, and experts. We are now partnering with the French Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain to seek their new Managing Director. The French Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain has been a leading player in Franco-British relations for 140 years. The Chamber's mission is to strengthen business relationships, promote partnerships, support growth and investment across the UK and assist French businesses entering the UK market. They seek a dynamic and visionary Managing Director to drive its development. The successful candidate will be responsible for strengthening the Chamber's position as a premier platform for exchange between French and British businesses. You will provide overall leadership, vision, and strategic direction to the French Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain. Your primary focus will be on member relations, business development, partnerships, event strategies, and driving growth opportunities. You will also be responsible for maintaining the Chamber’s credibility with senior political and diplomatic stakeholders. Reporting to the President and Board of Directors, you will play a vital role in promoting the Chamber's mission, enhancing member experiences, and maximising business potential. Business Development & Strategy: Develop and implement a robust business development strategy, focusing on member growth, revenue diversification, and identifying new market opportunities. Drive member acquisition through targeted campaigns, leveraging data analytics and digital marketing channels (LinkedIn, etc.). Identify and cultivate new partnerships with key stakeholders, including corporations, government agencies (e.g. the French Embassy, Business France), and other relevant organisations. Explore new revenue streams through innovative services and events. Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Chamber and its team of 30 employees. Manage the budget and ensure financial sustainability. Monitor and improve the quality of services delivered to members. Communication & Marketing: Develop and execute a compelling communication strategy to enhance the Chamber's brand visibility and attract new members. Create high-quality, informative, and engaging content for members across various channels. Organise and deliver impactful events that showcase the value of Chamber membership and foster valuable business connections. Member Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing members, proactively addressing their needs and exceeding their expectations. Implement member loyalty programs and initiatives to foster long-term engagement and retention. Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team of 30 employees. Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment. Required skills and experience Proven Business Development Experience: Successful track record in driving revenue growth, member acquisition, and developing new business opportunities in a similar environment (e.g. membership organisation, professional/business services). Strategic Thinking & Planning: Ability to develop and execute strategic plans, analyse market trends, and identify new growth areas. Strong Commercial Acumen: Proven ability to identify and close business deals, negotiate contracts and build strong client relationships Digital Marketing Expertise: Proficiency in digital marketing techniques, including social media marketing, content marketing, and data analytics. Leadership & Management Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, delegate effectively, and foster a positive and productive work environment. Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Bilingualism: Fluency in French and English is essential.
