Job Description

Role: Electrical Engineer - Building Services Location: St Paul's, London Type: Full Time, Hybrid, Permanent. We're looking for an Electrical Engineer or Senior Electrical Engineer in St Paul's, London This is an ideal role for a senior electrical building services engineer or experienced electrical engineer, currently working in the building services industry. You would be working on a variety of projects with leading developers and clients. This will include commercial offices, both refurbishment and new build, education, hospitality, large transport hubs, and redevelopments. They’re currently working on major international aviation schemes, several commercial offices with the remit to remodel and decarbonise, and the CAT B fitout of some of London’s prime office space for blue-chip clients. They continue to have new build projects, including a major transport hub, a new-build Passivhaus school, and new offices in central London. As part of their established team of expert engineers, and working closely with colleagues of various disciplines, you will prepare detailed engineering designs. You will work across a variety of sectors such as Aviation, Education, Commercial, Healthcare, Industrial, and Retail. You will have the opportunity over time to assume greater levels of responsibility and autonomy as your professional skills develop and will be supported towards Chartership. Responsibilities: Produce engineering designs, calculations and specifications, using appropriate software, for design features that may include internal and external lighting, small and medium power & LV distribution, data/av, fire alarms, photo-voltaic technologies, battery storage and security Supervise the production of technical drawings and check output Prepare technical reports in accordance with clients’ briefs Project management Mentoring of junior engineers Delegate work to Technicians and/or Graduate Engineers as required, and provide feedback on completed work Undertake site visits Liaise with clients, contractors, architects and/or manufacturers Pursue Chartership Requirements: Previous experience in an engineering consultancy Knowledge of industry-standard software which may include Dialux, Relux, Amtech/Trimble, Revit and AutoCAD.
