Registration Associate

Position Summary: This position is responsible for workflow of timely patient registration for inpatient admissions, surgery, outpatient services and emergency visits. Position Requirements: Education: High School, GED or equivalent. Some college preferred. Experience: At least two year experience in healthcare environment, or equivalent. At least one year experience in Admitting/Registration. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Able to identify appropriate payer sources. Maintains working knowledge of system tools such aseligibility verification and other payer specific resources (Managed care/Managed Medi-Cal notification and authorization processes). Secures signatures from patient and/or responsible party upon admission/visit (consent, advance directive, notice of privacy practices, etc) Respects patients right to privacy as mandated by HIPAA and the Patient's Bill of Rights. Physical Requirements: Sit: Up to 8 hours/day Stand/Walk: 3-6 hours Bend/Stoop: Up to 3 hours Reach: Up to 3 hours Rep Use of UE/Grasp: Up to 8 hrs Lift/Push/Pull: 15 lbs This job requires the ability to hear alarms clients and/or instruction.
