Job Title: Content Writer Working Hours/Arrangements: 40 hours per week (9am to 6pm, including one hour of unpaid break), Mondays to Thursdays – office based; Fridays – work from home. Job brief We are looking for an experienced Content Writer with a background in creating content for a B2B audience within the technology industry, to join our Marketing Team at servers.com. It is crucial that applicants for this position have in-depth knowledge and understanding of the tech industry, as the successful candidate will be required to create valuable, original and insightful content for our audiences. Experience in the B2B hosting industry would be advantageous. The successful candidate will be joining a growing Content Team and will be expected to add value by creating high-quality written content that spans all platforms including, but not limited to our website, social media, events, campaigns, and external websites. Furthermore, the successful candidate will be required to create storyboards for videos, interviews and other forms of audio/visual content. We are looking for a candidate who will bring their skills and ideas to enhance our existing content strategy. They must have experience of and be able to adhere to brand tone of voice and brand guidelines, ensuring our brand is accurately reflected at all times. Experience in creating and maintaining such guidelines would be advantageous. The successful candidate will need to have a natural flair for writing engaging, creative content derived from complex industry-related topics that delivers value according to each of our varied target audiences. This role requires liaison with subject matter experts both internally and externally from operational level up to C-suite, so excellent communication skills are essential. While this post will report to the Marketing Team Lead, they will need to be comfortable and capable of working directly with the leadership team on a regular basis. Responsibilities Work closely with the Sales and Marketing Team to help define, execute and achieve the goals within our content strategy. Create content in all formats including, but not limited to blog posts, case studies, thought leadership pieces, whitepapers, social media posts, directory listings, content to support events, storyboards, interviews, bios, and video scripts. Create content that supports our SEO strategy and work closely with the SEO team. Work closely with the wider Marketing Team to ensure our website content is kept up-to-date and accurate. Liaise with all internal and external teams to extract information and develop valuable, original content. Liaise with external agencies, partners and contacts including, but not limited to PR agencies, video-creation agencies, event organisers, journalists, customers, prospects, and industry experts. Work closely with Sales to maintain relevant and current ideal customer profiles (ICPs). Create authentic, original, valuable content based on proprietary research. Create multiple content assets from one original piece of content; for example, turn one interview into a case study, video shorts, a blog and a whitepaper. Distribute our content effectively to our target audience using platforms such as social media and third-party blog sites. The above list of duties is not exhaustive. You will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by the Marketing Team. Requirements/skills Proven experience as a Content Writer within the B2B tech industry with a portfolio of published work Strong demonstrable knowledge and understanding of the B2B tech industry Strong background in research using multiple sources to derive content Familiarity, understanding and experience in proper referencing and citation Familiarity and understanding of SEO and how it must be woven in content creation Excellent writing and editing skills in English Ability to meet deadlines and work on multiple varied tasks simultaneously Ability to respond well under pressure Self-motivated to achieve goals Enthusiastic approach Problem-solving skills and diplomacy Keen attention to detail Organised, proactive approach Strong communication and interpersonal skills Experience in using Monday.com or a similar project management tool Experience, knowledge and understanding of the B2B hosting industry would be advantageous.
