We are looking for a Business Development Specialist to join our Alumni & Supporters Engagement EMEA team within the Alumni & Fundraising Department. The overall goal of the job is raising awareness according to Bocconi internationalization and fundraising goals, increase engagement of Alumni community and manage and develop corporate and individual Donors. The activity is held in coordination with Alumni Community and Chapters abroad especially in the EMEA Countries. The new colleague will: Cooperate with the team in defining the development strategy, channels and actions. Global mindset, innovative approach and entrepreneurial attitude are key asset for delivering high quality results on this activity. Support the definition of the scouting strategy of prospect Donors focusing on EMEA. Increase donations from existing Donors and expand the portfolio with new prospects and contacts. Listening capability, influencing skills together with patience and resilience are central assets. Manage effective and continuous institutional communication with alumni, donors and internal stakeholders. Represent Bocconi at (online and face-to-face) events, conferences and meetings with Donors and prospects. Standing and relational excellence are key to pursue this goal. Update existing presentations and drafting new ones. Develop ad hoc proposals for Donors and Supporters. Excellent ability to write and process institutional documents, in Italian and English required. Manage the definition and writing philanthropic agreements, in coordination with Legal Office. Manage back-office activities (CRM, forms to support international donations, data collection). Requirements Master’s Degree preferably in Management, Political Science (International Relations), Business Administration, Communication/Marketing. 3-5 years of experience in business development (service-oriented industry preferred) or consulting, fundraising, institutional relations. Strong business acumen and experience in working with targets; familiarity with data sets analysis. International studying/working/living experience (minimum 1 year of proven experience). Willingness to travel for work. Entrepreneurial spirit and out of the box thinker. Good organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work both independently and as a team member. Ability to network and build and maintain long-lasting relationships. Customer centric approach. Experience working under pressure in a fast-paced, growing environment. Flexible and positive attitude. Excellent English and Italian. Tools and technologies: Excellent knowledge of Ms Office suite. Knowledge of CRM systems.
