BACKGROUD Carthera, is a French clinical-stage medtech company focused on developing innovative ultrasound-based medical devices to treat a wide range of brain diseases. The company has developed the SonoCloud®, a breakthrough medical device that emits ultrasound to temporarily increase the permeability of blood vessels in the brain. SonoCloud is an intracranial implant that disrupts the blood-brain barrier (BBB) at time of administration of therapeutic agents. Several minutes of ultrasound is sufficient to open the BBB for several hours, thus increasing the concentration of therapeutic molecules in the brain, and potentially their effectiveness. Carthera is currently advancing this technology for the treatment of brain cancer and neurodegenerative diseases through clinical trials, and preparing for Market Approval and product launch in Europe and in the United-States. The company is also considering getting public to finance these next steps. JOB BRIEF Carthera is hiring a Communications Manager located in Europe or in the United-States who will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of a range of online & offline communication strategies. As CommunicationsManager, you will create communication plans to increase the awareness and adoption of our solution towards patients and physicians in Europe and in the United-States, and increase visibility of our company towards potential partners and investors. This position reports to the CEO and works with different internal stakeholders and external partners, including content creators, copywriters and PR officers, to ensure that company's communications reach the target audience. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Align communication efforts with company’s objective, ensuring consistent messaging across various channels Create and strengthen brand positioning and product awareness through communication plans including - but not limited to - publications, advertising, digital campaigns and trade shows Work with the executives to define messages that the company wants to convey, and work with our PR agency to write our press releases and organize PR initiatives to help promote our solution Work with content creators and graphic designers to develop marcom materials such as brochures, social media campaigns, websites and direct to patient communication Create and promote thought leadership to position the company and key representatives as industry experts Develop key opinion leader relations and educational material in collaboration with Clinical and Scientific Affairs Create, manage and maintain brand equity (language, templates and material) to ensure that company’s branding is consistent throughout all channels and collaterals Manage relationship with patient associations and generate awareness among patients around our solutions Organize trade shows or exhibitions, clinical meetings or symposia, in Europe and in the Unites-States to demonstrate the benefits of our products and share the results of our clinical trials Track the effectiveness of various campaigns and optimize them as required Work on the communication mix and set budgets for all initiatives of the communication plan KEY REQUIREMENTS Degree in Marketing or Business Administration 5 years prior experience in a similar role with at least 3 years in a medical device, pharma or life science space Strong downstream marketing experience Demonstrated success in planning and executing communication strategies in different global geographies Proficient in developing content, executing, and measuring ROI A strong network of PR and media contacts would be highly advantageous Exceptional verbal & written communication skills in English and possibly in French Attention to details and proven ability to manage multiple and competing priorities simultaneously Excellent interpersonal skills and adept at building relationships with different stakeholders: from financial investors to patients and physicians Good knowledge of rules and regulation regarding direct to patient communication and social media in the field of healthcare Proven track record in supporting a successful market introduction of a medical device would be an advantage Highly proficient in MS Office, PowerPoint, CRM app., as well as AI tools The position involves international travels
