Job Description

This role is a great opportunity to join the Credit Card Product team. Managing one of the most business critical suppliers across the society that provides servicing and payment processing to our c2 million credit card members. We are responsible for providing a comprehensive range of operational support services to ensure due diligence and correct governance is in place to manage our 3rd party supplier and ensuring they are meeting members’ needs. We’re looking for an Operational Support Officer to join the team, focussed primarily on providing a full governance service on our outsourced Credit Card Supplier. Abiding by the Supplier Relationship Management framework, this governance function meets compliance requirements such as LSB, HMRC, FCA, FOS. This role is critical in ensuring that we meet all our required deadlines as well as being a foundation of support and guidance to wider stakeholders. Some of the key responsibilities will include; producing minutes, action taking, support with forward scheduling, preparing and coordinating agendas and drafting and reviewing papers for various stakeholders within the society. Building cohesive relationships and stakeholder engagement across different entities plays a central part to succeeding in this role. At Nationwide we offer hybrid working wherever possible. What you'll be doing We are looking for someone who is organised whilst managing competing and varying demands, who can work under their own initiative and is able to prioritise work effectively to meet the business need. You’ll be responsible for producing concise minutes and meeting packs and tracking actions through end-to-end, prompting stakeholders for updates and collating responses from multiple sources. You will also support the timely and effective running of meetings, including efficient scheduling; preparing and co-ordinating input to agendas; drafting and reviewing papers, including providing feedback to authors to ensure that the Committee’s information needs are met. Working primarily with the meeting Chair and team manager, you’ll use your excellent communication and influencing skills you’ll develop a strong working relationship and rapport with all committee members and their teams. Other areas owned by our Governance role include managing the administration of control mandates, effective filing and storage of key documentation. About you As a minimum you’ll need to have or be: Strong administrative experience Helpful and approachable to all stakeholders Experience of working with outsource suppliers Has a background with engaging and managing 3rd party supplier relationships in Governance role Excellent attention to detail Experience producing reporting packs and presenting findings to senior stakeholders Excellent organisational and planning and prioritising skills Ability to work to tight deadlines and to work flexibly to support the requirements of the regulators / senior managers Adaptable and willing to take on new tasks as required by business needs Excellent experience in Microsoft suite Our Customer First behaviours are all about putting customers and members at the heart of how we work together.
