Cloud Support Engineer Bristol, United Kingdom Must be SC Cleared or SC Clearable Permanent We are seeking Cloud Support Engineers with strong expertise in Java to identify issues, develop effective solutions, implement new features, and continuously enhance client applications. This role requires proactive problem-solvers who thrive in fast-paced environments and have a proven ability to improve system performance and reliability. Skills and Experience We’re Looking For We’re looking for engineers with the following skills and expertise: Core Technical Skills Java Development : Strong proficiency in Java 8 , including MVC , JDBC , and RESTful APIs . Build Tools : Experience with Ant , Maven , and Gradle . Scripting & Fundamentals : Proficiency in SQL , Unix , CLI tools , Shell Scripting , and PowerShell . Web Technologies : Knowledge of HTML and CSS for application interfaces. Databases : Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB , MySQL , Cassandra , Postgres , and SQL Server . Monitoring Tools : Familiarity with tools like Grafana and Kibana for application performance tracking and diagnostics. Experience and Attributes Proven ability to identify and resolve complex technical problems. Experience in designing and implementing efficient solutions to improve application performance. Familiarity with both production and non-production instances of client applications. A focus on continuous improvement through innovation and automation. Strong communication skills to work effectively with clients and internal teams.
