Job Description

About the Role AESC Global Communications Team is seeking a highly skilled communicator to join our dynamic team. This individual will play a pivotal role in managing and executing country and market-specific communications and public affairs strategy, overseeing local PR team members and consulting firms engaged in media relations, writing, digital video production, event planning and management, internal communications and policy communications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate communications and public policy. This role will report to AESC’s Chief Communications Officer. What You Will Do Oversee Regional Communications: Manage PR and public affairs teams in various countries across the globe, including Japan, China, Spain, France, U.K., and the U.S. in developing and implementing local communications and public affairs strategies. Vendor Management: Manage several vendor relationships to support AESC’s public affairs strategies. Executive Communications: Work closely with global and plant executives through media training, media appearances, and presentations at industry trade shows and public policy engagement. Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including plant management, HR, ESG, legal, corporate planning and other AESC teams. What You Need Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in corporate, public affairs, public policy, or related communications. Expertise: Deep background of managing and executing media relations and public affairs strategies. Skills: Excellent writing skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team. Business-minded approach with the ability to understand and contribute to the company's strategic goals. High level of integrity and professional ethics. Mature and composed demeanor, ability to operate in an environment with fast-paced demands and routine changes to circumstances. “Nice to Have” Industry Experience: Previous experience in the electric vehicle, battery manufacturing, energy or technology sectors. Project Management Skills: Experience with project management tools and methodologies. Cultural Awareness: Experience working in a multicultural and international environment. Start-up Experience: Experience or familiarity with the dynamics of start-up environments, showcasing an ability to thrive in agile and fast-paced settings. Travel Occasional domestic and international travel required.
