M&A Consultant This strategic communications consultancy assists companies, nonprofits, organizations, and governments in building, enhancing, and protecting their reputations through effective dialogue and influencer engagement. Their focus is on strategic communications to positively impact stakeholder relationships. Key Responsibilities Participate in all phases of executing sell-side, buy-side, and other structural transactions, with a focus on cross-border deals ranging from USD10 million to USD50 million, involving Southeast Asian clients or Japanese clients with business interests in Southeast Asia. End to end involvement in developing and executing cross-border deals from deal origination, evaluation of target companies to deal execution and closing. Draft presentation and marketing materials, such as teaser, information memorandum and discussion papers for management presentation to C-suite clients. Support the preparation of financial forecasts for acquisitions, restructurings, and financial reporting, while providing expert analytical insights on the validity of assumptions behind these forecasts through in-depth market research and analysis to identify trends, assess opportunities, and develop actionable strategies Develop sophisticated financial models to evaluate complex structures, including multiple share classes, geographic models, start-ups, and technology-driven businesses, assessing the value of businesses, equities, tangible and intangible assets, and financial instruments for acquisition, restructuring, and reporting purpose Key Requirements Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, Commerce, Banking & Finance, Economics or equivalent At least one professional qualification in finance or /accounting such as /CFA/FRM/CVA Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in transaction services or corporate finance field with a good understanding of corporate finance and/or process in cross border M&A transactions is required Minimum of 2 years of experience working for MNCs and listed companies is required (as for the consultancy job career, minimum 2 years of experience assisting similar companies) Experience of working overseas, or educational background graduated from an overseas university is strongly advantageous . As this company's position within the Group is at the forefront of helping clients expand overseas from their home country to other markets, it is strongly recommended that all consultants in this unit have worked or studied abroad for an extended period outside their home country as part of their career.
