For 20 years, we have been an industry leader in creating personalized museum tours and walks. We lead programs in 6 of the city’s main museum collections (Louvre, Orsay, Rodin, Pompidou, Cluny, Orangerie, Bourse), 7 thematic walks of the city, and small group day trips to Versailles. Our programs are developed by a team of historians, curators, and museum educators, and feature original interactive teaching materials for both families and adults. Position Summary As a critical member of our Anglophone management team, you will work remotely from your own home office, for 13 days per month, which may include up to 2 weekends per month. While this role is remote, you must be based in Paris to stay closely connected to the team. Additionally, in-person meetings are part of the role, so proximity and accessibility are essential. We are looking for someone who is deeply interested and passionate about arts and culture, with a strong understanding of Paris' rich history and cultural landmarks. This role is ideal for someone who not only loves this city but is also enthusiastic about sharing its treasures with others. We are willing to train and nurture highly motivated, hard-working, ethical individuals with an interest in future growth and promotion. In addition to overseeing operations, you will play a key role in enhancing our social media presence and creating engaging content to promote our tours and activities. Key Responsibilities Help oversee our fast-moving operations to ensure seamless delivery of client services. Provide exceptional client experiences via email and phone, handling inquiries, sales, and follow-ups with professionalism and enthusiasm. Manage our reservation software and ensure integration with guide calendars and museum ticket purchases. Perform daily administrative work, including maintaining schedules, coordinating communications, and updating records. Be the main point of contact between clients and our 30 professional guide/docent team on days when you are managing the office. Assist with social media strategy, content creation, and online marketing efforts to grow our brand presence and engage with our audience. Contribute to the creative development of future tour programs. Support Paris Muse senior management in driving company strategy and direction. Profile and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Auto Entrepreneur status in France Native or near-native fluency in English, both written and spoken. Impeccable communication skills, especially with writing emails; attention to detail and accuracy. Familiarity with Paris tourist sites and transportation, to provide clients with detailed orientation; a passion and curiosity for art, culture, museums, architecture, and history. Experience with sales, travel industry and digital business models; knowledge of art history is a bonus, since you’ll help manage a team of content creators and skilled museum educators. Ability to manage an international team of freelance guides to promote mutual respect, integrity, and a positive company morale. Strong interpersonal skills including empathy, patience, and resilience. Openness to learning and improving our digital tools and technologies; demonstrated proficiency with Google Suite tools, Wordpress, and social media content creation, management and strategy. Comfort with working calmly, proactively, and independently from home, in a fast-paced environment that requires mental focus, problem solving. and solid decision-making skills. Ability to respond to the unexpected, with a go the extra mile spirit. Flexibility in scheduling your monthly work schedule with other members of your team. As of March 1, based full-time in Paris (for training, workshops, and in-person meetings). A willingness to commit for a minimum of at least one year.
