We have an exciting opportunity within our Finance department who are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Procurement and Contracts Manager. About the role: You will join on a part time, permanent basis (Flexible hours - 22.5 -30 hours per week over 4-5 days). The postholder will be responsible for for providing expertise in the procurement of goods and services to support the buying decisions of The Wellington College and to manage/facilitate relationships with key suppliers to ensure the smooth operation of major contracts. (based upon a full time role and will be pro-rated as applicable) Key responsibilities (Including but not limited to; see job description for full requirements): Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers including catering, uniform and college shop provision, negotiating best possible service provision, pricing and payment terms. Monitor key contracts against KPIs and facilitate monitoring and feedback between internal stakeholders and the supplier. Build up a detailed, complete and reliable database of utility usage to provide quality data to utility providers. Person Specification The successful incumbent must have Relevant qualification in Procurement/Project management (e.g. Prince II) (desirable) Procurement knowledge and experience/qualification in supplier management. (essential) Knowledge and experience in contract drafting & review. (essential) Experience of negotiating with suppliers in a variety of fields. (essential) Utility cost management experience.
