Health & Safety Officer

Purpose of Position: The Health & Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with all occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines. To advise on safety measures, conduct risk assessments, and enforce preventative measures. The role involves promoting a safe workplace, providing training, and investigating incidents to improve overall safety. 1. SAMTRACT OR NEBOSH certification 2. Grade 12 3. Minimum 3-5 years working experience as a Health & Safety Officer in a manufacturing environment. 4. ISO45000 & OHSAS 18000 knowledge would be beneficial 5. Fluent in English (Speak, Read & Write) 6. Proficient in MS Word, Excel & Email 7. Excellent communication and planning skills 8. Attention to Detail 9. Strong Analytical skills 10. Need to be able to problem solve independently 11. Flexible and adaptability to rapid environmental changes 12. Must be able to work under pressure 13. Must be prepared to work overtime when and if needed 14. We run a 24-hour operation and candidate must attend to any Injury on Duty (IOD) when and if needed. 15. Must have own transport and valid drivers license.
