The school runs a breakfast club (7.45 - 8.45 Monday to Friday) and an afternoon club (3.15 to 6.00 Monday to Friday), We are looking to recruit a highly committed and passionate person to join our team. The clubs provide before and after school care for any families requiring it, before and after school. The members of staff povide a fun and caring environment for the children, providing a breakfast in the morning or a snack in the afternoon, along with setting up fun activities for them to do whilst they remain in school. You may be interested in a job share so that you are only working in the Breakfast club or After school club; this is an option for the right person. You may also like to increase your earning potential by working some additional hours in the afternoon as a teaching assistant, before you start in the after school club. This is a permanent position, starting in September 2024. About you The successful candidate will be someone who can: Engage effectively with the children in their care Greet parents and children in a welcoming manner Plan, set up and engage in recreational activities and the provision of healthy food Ensure children are safe and happy Clear away snacks and activities leaving a tidy environment Demonstrate a positive attitude, be flexible and model good communication skills Display high expectations of pupil behaviour Work well as part of a team In return we can offer you: A vibrant and positive working environment Well behaved children Friendly and welcoming staff A supportive leadership team and professional development opportunities, Hours of work: Monday - Friday 7:45am - 8.45am and then 3:15pm - 6.00pm (Hours are dependent on demand), term time only (38 weeks per year) for the role of Wrap Around Care assistant.
