Functional Skills Teacher Maidstone, Kent Permanent Contract Full - Time £25000 - £36000 per annum (dependant on experience) Pearson Whiffin are excited to recruit a Functional Skills Teacher to work at a College in Maidstone, Kent who can create an inspiring learning atmosphere. This teacher will supervise and co-ordinate the progress of their subject area, prepare and deliver Functional Skills qualifications, from Entry Level to Level 2. We are looking for a teacher who has knowledge of planning and assessment techniques, who can deliver a safe and secure lesson to students with complex needs and behaviours. To qualify for this Functional Skills Teacher Role, you will need to have: A teaching qualification, minimum level 5 Relevant classroom experience with knowledge of planning and assessment techniques. A DBS or be willing to undertake a new DBS. Broad behaviour management experience with students who have difficult needs and can demonstrate extreme behaviour. This College focusses on providing learning and tuition opportunities for students who, for whatever reason, don’t want to stay in an established academic environment.
