Part-time Medical Assistant, Family Medicine Center at Foulk/Wilmington

ChristianaCare Family Medicine at Foulk / Wilmington is looking for two Part-Time Medical Assistants. ChristianaCare’s Rocco A. Abessinio Family Wilmington Health Center is home to three primary care practices among other programs and services. The ChristianaCare Family Medicine Center at Wilmington Health Center is one of two locations for our academic family medicine practice in Willington. The other location is Family Medicine at Foulk Road . These locations include physicians who are teachers, faculty members, making it possible for resident doctors to be part of your care team. Faculty participate in research and continually advance their knowledge as they mentor leading-edge and compassionate care. Primary Care services are supported and enhanced by the on-site pharmacy, diagnostic testing, social services and patient wellness and educational programs. You would be joining a fantastic care team that includes attending physicians, physician residents, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, medical assistant, and office assistants. Family Medicine at Wilmington / Foulk sees an average of 250 patients, per day. Work Schedule: T uesdays & Thursdays from 12pm to 8:30pm Saturdays from 8am to 12pm 20 hours per week Duties / Responsibilities: As a medical assistant you will be involved with greeting and supporting patients both virtually and on-site within the practice, preparing them for virtual visits, performing point of care testing, injections, medication administration, and EKGs, assisting clinicians with examinations and procedures, preparing exam/treatment rooms with necessary supplies and equipment, completing patient-specific paperwork, ensuring EMR is up-to-date, handling patient call backs, sterilizing medical equipment, handling prior authorizations, referrals, and medical refills, scheduling tests, procedures, and surgeries, performing quality control on POCT equipment, providing documentation assistance, performing clerical duties, troubleshooting patient issues with video visits, and supporting patients in joining ChristianaCare's Patient Portal. A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
