Job Description
Safeguarding Partner Salary £40,311 Location Didsbury, Manchester Permanent, Full Time The Safeguarding Partner will establish and implement Safeguarding best practice across Great Places, ensure that the business is compliant with all requirements of safeguarding legislation and internal guidance and controls. You will act as an expert advisor and create and embed a sector leading safeguarding culture across the business, demonstrating high standards of professional boundaries, data protection, record keeping and a customer centred approach. What you’ll be doing You will support the business to deliver the best outcomes for customers and colleagues, through the development of high-quality Safeguarding training, policy and guidance You will advise senior leaders and Strategic Safeguarding Group of obligations under safeguarding best practice, in particular safeguarding legislation, DBS legislation and best practice You will coordinate and report to Strategic Safeguarding Group You will support the Chair of our Safeguarding Service Excellence Group to ensure continuous improvement You will compile high quality data led reports, including biannual reports to Executive Directors and Board on Safeguarding performance and key issues You will liaise with Local Authority Safeguarding Boards and coordinate Great Places’ response to Serious Case Reviews and Safeguarding Adult Reviews You will set and monitor targets for Safeguarding performance, ensuring value for money and the effective management of resources You will develop effective partnerships with key external partners in relation to safeguarding, representing Great Places at external meetings and conferences You will develop and deliver high quality training to all colleagues You will develop and manage relevant policy and guidance for Safeguarding What you’ll need Educated to degree level or equivalent or work experience demonstrating graduate level ability Experience within a safeguarding role, within the housing sector, social care or statutory agency, including knowledge of safeguarding legislation and best practice Experience of developing and delivering training to a range of different colleague groups Experience of cross organisational working and engaging stakeholders Excellent data analysis and report writing skills Experience of working within a compliance framework Use of full range of Microsoft Office Good written and verbal communication Experience of coaching stakeholders in complex case management Organisation and ability to time-manage work load The ability to develop and project a positive image of Great Places through personal, written and oral skills What we need from you You will be required to attend a number of face to face training sessions as well as virtual sessions and e-learning.
