Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Â Inspect mechanical parts and sub-assemblies before, during, and after production to ensure they meet specifications. Ensure proper documentation and inventory management for all mechanical components. Review and address any defects in parts or assemblies, coordinating with relevant subcontractors to resolve issues. Enforce quality standards and compliance with organizational procedures throughout the production process. Perform calibration and verification audits of tools and equipment on a monthly basis. Collaborate with other teams to enhance the quality of products and services, continuously optimizing workflows. Contribute to ongoing efforts in maintaining ISO-9001 certification and improving quality management systems. Committed to upholding high standards of quality and safety. Â Qualifications, Experience & Skills Required: A Grade 12 qualification (or equivalent) and a Higher Certificate (NQF 5) in a mechanical-related field. At least 2 years of experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment, ideally with a focus on mechanical components. Experience with mechanical inspections, reading technical drawings, and familiarity with a formal Quality Management System (ISO-9001 certified environment preferred). Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with inspection tools such as microscopes and verniers. Exposure to electronics and engineering support roles would be advantageous. Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills. Experience in root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Familiarity with Click-Up platform and other project management tools (desirable). Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in English. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
