Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Acorn by SYNERGIE is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our client, a leading chemical manufacturer and distributor based in Middlesbrough. About the Role: Reporting to the Group Maintenance Manager, you'll be responsible for reactive and planned preventative maintenance, ensuring maximum uptime of production machinery. Key Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair mechanical faults, providing breakdown maintenance support. Install, maintain, and repair a variety of mechanical equipment. Maintain and update mechanical maintenance records in the site management system. Assist in managing minor site projects. Prioritize health and safety best practices, ensuring full compliance with industry regulations. The successful candidate must be qualified - Completed a technical apprenticeship in a mechanical discipline (minimum BTEC Level 3 Diploma). Familiar with a variety of pumps, valves (especially ball valves), and general site maintenance tasks. Safety-Focused - Committed to maintaining H&S standards in all work.
