Junior CAD Technician Location: North West Salary: Up to £30k REF: SO 14 Overview :I am currently working with a reputable structural engineering firm, to find a talented Junior CAD Technician to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or an individual with some experience in CAD design to work in a dynamic and growing engineering environment. My client prides itself on providing innovative solutions to structural challenges, and they are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for design. Key Responsibilities : Assist in the creation of detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for structural projects. Support senior technicians and engineers in the development of design schemes. Collaborate with the design team to ensure accuracy and efficiency in drafting. Maintain and update CAD files as required, ensuring they are correctly organized and stored. Review and check designs for compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Help prepare technical drawings, reports, and documentation for client and project meetings. Take part in site visits and surveys to gather necessary information for design work. Requirements : A relevant qualification in CAD, engineering, or a related field. Experience using CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) is desirable but not essential. Strong attention to detail and a passion for design. Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients. A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and develop skills in the structural design field.
