CNC Programmer & Setter

Nature of employment: The successful incumbent will be employed on a permanent basis after completion of a probationary period. Experience The successful incumbent must possess at least two (2) years of relevant experience within engineering and machining. Formal qualifications Grade 12 (a technical qualification would be beneficial) Certificate or diploma in engineering will be advantageous Valid driving license code 08 A valid Turner Certificate A valid medical certificate certifying the incumbents fitness status to work in a mechanical environment Responsibilities Applying Femco, Po Ly Gim and Greenway CNC programming and operating techniques Working on lathe, conventional and CNC machines Set-up and operate CNC machines according to specifications Ensure the CNC machine operates in accordance with the guidelines of the company Oversee the machines while they execute tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results Ability to read and understand machines and drawings Enforcement of quality procedures and processes Managing and measuring instruments and hand tools Ensure machines are maintained and in a good, safe operational condition Inherent requirements for the position Excellent communication and reporting skills Good problem-solving skills Reliable and dependable Ability to work independently Ability to delegate tasks to subordinates Attention to accuracy and detail Ethical and trustworthy Excellent written and oral communication skills Confident Assertiveness Analytical and logical Conscientious and inquisitive Applicants who fulfil the abovementioned requirements are invited to apply for the position by following the link:
