1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant - Autism Support - Haringey A Haringey primary school is looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team after February half term. This full-time role involves providing 1:1 support to a Year 1 pupil with Autism, requiring patience, experience, and strong behaviour management skills. SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities: Support a Year 1 pupil with Autism, helping them access the curriculum. Implement strategies to manage behaviour and promote emotional regulation. Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and SEN staff. Use visual supports, sensory techniques, and structured routines. Encourage independence and social interaction in a safe environment. SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements: Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant, ideally with Autism support. Strong behaviour management skills and a calm approach.
