Job Description : Windows Server Administration - L3 Position : Windows Server Administration - L3 Experience : Minimum 8-10 Years of Total Experience Job Type : Full-Time Notice : 30 Days Job Locations : Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore Shift : General Shift(23) Qualification : Any Graduation / Post Graduation Windows Server Administration - L3 Roles and Responsibilities : - Design and architect the entire Windows Server infrastructure, including server placement, clustering, and high availability setups. - Plan and manage the capacity of the server infrastructure, ensuring scalability and performance for current and future needs. - Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and practices to improve server infrastructure efficiency and security. - Serve as the final escalation point for all server-related issues, handling the most complex and critical problems. - Conduct in-depth root cause analysis of recurring or critical issues and implement permanent fixes to prevent future occurrences. - Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and resolve issues related to server performance, security, and connectivity. - Lead strategic IT initiatives such as server consolidation, virtualization, cloud integration, and infrastructure upgrades. - Lead large-scale server-related projects, including migrations, disaster recovery implementations, and major upgrades. - Oversee the change management process, ensuring that changes are implemented smoothly with minimal disruption to operations. - Develop and enforce security policies and procedures to protect server environments from threats and vulnerabilities. - Lead the response to major security incidents, coordinating with security teams to mitigate risks and recover systems. - Develop advanced PowerShell scripts and other automation tools to manage complex administrative tasks and improve operational efficiency. - Design and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline server management tasks, reduce manual intervention, and improve efficiency. - Design and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline server management tasks, reduce manual intervention, and improve efficiency. - Oversee the entire virtualization infrastructure, including Hyper-V, VMware, and other platforms, ensuring optimal performance and resource allocation. - Work closely with network, security, database, and application teams to ensure the overall health and performance of IT infrastructure. - Generate and present detailed reports on server performance, security, compliance, and project progress to IT management and stakeholders. - Identify opportunities for improving server management processes, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and reliability (ref:hirist.tech)
