Job Description

REQUIREMENTS Matric plus two years experience Experience with buying within a manufacturing concern Advantageous Strong analytical and negotiation skills Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with procurement software Excellent communication and customer service skills Technically minded and passionate about his industry Highly organised, able to work under pressure and results driven Valid drivers license and your own transport Working hours: 08:30 17:00 (Mon to Thurs) 08:30 16:00 on a Friday DUTIES Closely assist the buyer in all aspects involved in the buying & selling process Critical path management from the start of orders placed until the delivery of goods to the customer Attending and taking minutes of all meetings and reviews On-going correspondence and communication with suppliers regarding required samples, costings, outstanding submissions, etc. Daily correspondence and follow-up with Customers Ensuring contracts and documentation from customers are received on time and checking to ensure accuracy Arranging deliveries & collections of parcels and documents with couriers to suppliers, as well as follow-up of parcels couriered by suppliers Photographing and cataloguing of all samples for reference Catalogue all outgoing samples to Customers and ensure all samples are returned timeously Assisting the buyer in the setting up of the showroom Tidying of rails & assisting buyers in clean-ups and organizing office and showroom Updating database / Systems and the detail of the progression of orders placed Arranging and follow-up of product testing for specific customers where required and communicating to the customer and supplier where necessary Organising and filing of all orders and relevant documents pertaining to the orders Ordering of all required trims for each order timeously and following through to ensure trims are ordered within the required timeline Assisting buyers in the measuring and quality control of samples / products before submitting them to customers for approval with relevant documentation Following up on all outstanding samples from customers and suppliers Follow up on Shipment schedules and working closely with the shipping department to communicate where orders are approved and ready for shipment General office duties e.g. packing samples away, filing paperwork, replenishing office supplies, answering the phone and passing on messages etc. Salary: R negotiable dependent on experience Join us on SOCIAL MEDIA or visit our WEBSITE for more information.
