Cooltruck Logistics Coordinator

Minimum Requirements: Grade 12 Tertiary qualification in Logistics/Transport/International Trade Previous experience in a similar position Navis (advantageous) Duties and Responsibilities: Transportation Arrangement: Secure appropriate carriers for bulk and cool truck shipments, negotiating competitive rates and ensuring compliance with all regulations. Loading/Unloading Coordination: Oversee the loading and unloading process, ensuring efficiency and accuracy. Carrier Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with truck drivers, fostering a collaborative and productive network. Expand our carrier base by on boarding new transporters, verifying their credentials, and ensuring valid Goods in Transit (GIT) insurance coverage. Delivery Tracking and Management: Monitor delivery timelines proactively, addressing any potential delays or disruptions and communicating updates to clients. This includes following up with trucks to determine accurate ETAs. Contract Management: Generate and manage transport contracts using established templates. Data Management and Reconciliation: Perform daily administrative tasks, including accurate data entry of all load information into the computer database. Reconcile Proof of Delivery (POD) documents and loading weights. POD Collection: Efficiently collect and manage PODs. Communication and Query Resolution: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, transporters, and suppliers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally. After-Hours Availability: Maintain availability for communication with all relevant parties, 7 days a week, to address urgent matters and ensure seamless operations.
