Job Description
This boutique hotel in Cape Town seeks to appoint a Senior Reservationist to delight guests by receiving and processing reservations in a professional and efficient manner. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: PMS Data Capture Quality of data captured into the PMS System is maintained Security requirements and access to the PMS system adhered to Guest Profile information is maintained for individuals, companies, agents and global guest categories Adherence to PMS Rate availability Maintain accurate data for Frequent Guests Sales and Marketing Up-selling targets met Hotel occupancy maximized and targets met Accommodation allowances kept to a minimum Upgrades are processed as per the policy Facilities, activities, and special events promoted and communicated to guests Sales and marketing activities are supported A professional image is maintained at all times All reservations are processed accurately and efficiently Different guest requirements are catered for VIPs, disabled, elderly groups, etc. Correct rates are applied per Guest Type Accurate information is provided All relevant details are recorded accurately eg. payment details Appropriate recommendations, options, and alternatives are communicated to the guest Confidentiality of information is maintained at all times Special requests are communicated timeously to relevant management and departments Problems are resolved timeously and to the satisfaction of the guest Guests expectations are exceeded Cancellations and amendments to bookings are accurately recorded Written communication with guests is accurate and professional Accurate, up-to-date reservation system is maintained (accurate, updated records and statistics are maintained) Room Inventory Management Departmental policies and procedures are adhered to Checklist requirements are met: arrivals, pre-payments, rates, status, history Guest history is utilized to allocate guests to relevant room types The PMS system is used to control room-type overbookings Group wash cut-off dates are adhered to Waitlists are implemented Daily communication with Central Reservations i.t.o. room availability, rate loading, and room inventory Self-management and performance ownership Open to constructive feedback and continuously driven to develop own skills and knowledge Business’s core values are recognized and supported Works to meet team objectives, respecting others and offering assistance proactively where needed REQUIREMENTS: SA Citizen Matric or Grade 12 qualification Verbal and written English skills At least 2 years experience in a similar position Self-driven Can work under pressure Accurate with attention to detail
