Our client is hiring for another Mechanical Engineering Technician after successfully securing a candidate - Would you be the third hire to join their busy maintenance team Mechanical Engineering Technician will take up the position for our client based in near Cardiff Industries: Chemical / COMAH / Papermill / Power / Biomass / Steel Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 Bonus Healthcare Pension Callout Company Background My client has full order book for their chemical products over the next 3 years and investing millions on site to keep up with demand so great time to join and be part of the journey Key Responsibilities Support the SHE department to ensure the highest levels of Safety, Health and Environment performance at all times for all maintenance activities on site. Supports the maintenance engineering activity to recover from unplanned stoppages, plus support first up information gathering and problem solving. Working collaboratively with all departments to continuously improve plant Reliability / OEE performance through FMEA / RCM studies, PM / PdM program optimization to improve MTBF and MTTR. Supports the MRO Stores Controller to ensure that Inventory is optimized to meet reliability and plant performance. Collaborate within the engineering departments to lead a team of contractors for maintenance and capital project activities during plant outages. Detailed reporting of equipment using the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Background NVQ / Apprenticeship / in Mechanical Practical knowledge of maintenance & reliability tools and systems including FMEA, RCM, conditioning monitoring, CMMS. Detailed knowledge of Hands-on experience with pumps, compressors, pipelines, boilers, vessels and exchangers Practical knowledge of systems such as: alignment techniques, ultrasonics, vibration analysis and thermography Knowledge of pressure systems, confined space, risk assessments, hot work permits Knowledge and ability in reporting procedures, plus the ability to assess, improve and implement maintenance workflow practices If you enjoy a fast-paced working environment and developing fresh approaches to new challenges.
