Job Title: Business Development Manager Salary: £28k – £35k basic dependent on experience (Year 1: OTE £40k – £50k uncapped) We're currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager for our London office. We're seeking a driven, enthusiastic professional to drive new business within our commercial partnerships team, selling across the SportsPro events and media portfolio to key stakeholders in the sports business industry. The Role: As a Business Development Manager, your primary objective is to maximise revenue through new business acquisition, leveraging our industry-leading audience and market position within a 360 sales process . Within our commercial team of 15, you will sit within the partnerships team to drive the growth of the business. Fundamentally, this role is about solving problems and creating opportunities for companies who should be partnering with our business conferences and media channels. Requirements: Must have: Demonstrable success in a 360 sales process Demonstrable track record of inner-drive, hunger, and motivation to exceed activity and revenue targets. Proven success in significant new business wins in B2B sales, preferably in exhibition, conference, and media sales. Ability to identify and capitalise on business opportunities. Knowledge of the sports industry is desirable. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to thrive in a target-oriented environment. Strong presentation and proposal writing abilities and excellent telephone manner. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Responsibilities: Independently source and research your own leads using online search facilities, LinkedIn, social media, and competitor insights. Utilise your end-to-end sales experience to maximise revenue through effective sales techniques, both over the phone and face-to-face. Exceed activity targets (calls, emails, meetings) demonstrating drive and discipline in prospecting and engaging with clients. Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers and effectively negotiate terms with clients and agencies. Attend industry events to network and identify new growth areas. Ensure meticulous sales administration, updating the HubSpot database promptly and accurately.
