Toolmaker/Manual Machinist

Toolmaker/Manual Machinist Contek are recruiting for a Toolmaker/Manual Machinist to join an established company in Redditch. This position is suitable for an experienced engineer who has worked on Manual Machines in an engineering setting or as a Toolmaker or similar. Serving a variety of industries such as Aerospace, Automotive or General Engineering you will be a part of a team of experienced engineers to help modify or create components for a vast client base across the UK. Responsibilities: Machining using Mills, Lathes, Grinders and EDM Machines (EDM not essential). Working to engineering drawings and completing work within tolerance. Working alone or as part of a team to fulfil orders on time. Inspect your own work where needed. Use your knowledge and experience to work as efficiently as possible. Modify or manufacture new tooling. Essential: Experienced on conventional machine tools. Apprenticeship served or a solid engineering foundation. Ability to work to drawings. Either general engineering or toolmaking experience. Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:00 - 16:30PM Friday 07:00 - 15:00PM Overtime is available in this role and will be paid at 1.5x If this sounds like the role for you then please apply today, and if successful I will be in touch shortly
