Position Type: Sales Hunter - Logistics Residence: USA Location: Southeast Work Environment: Remote / WFH Position: National Sales Director Reporting to: Vice President of Sales of a premier 3PL that specializes in site & private fleet services, strategic capacity services, and energy distribution services. The National Sales Director is responsible for the development of a profitable Freight Brokerage business nationally. Responsibilities include closing and developing profitable new business, coordinating with the Account Management team to implement customer solutions and onboarding, and collaborating with Managers, Pricing Analysts, and the Operations team to create business solutions and long-term relationships with prospective new customers. The challenge is to nationally expand the account base, increase revenues, and improve profitability. Background Required: Outside sales / Business Development within transportation/freight brokerage (5 years) Service offering (i.e., Freight Brokerage, 3PL, LTL, Consolidation, TL) Strong Selling and closing capabilities Strong Negotiation Ability (Customer, Margin Integrity) Contractual Business Process (RFP, RFI, RFQ) Develop and execute business plan strategies Computer literate (Microsoft Suite: PowerPoint, Word, Excel) Background Preferred (but not required): Freight Management Software Transportation Network understanding Education: College Graduate Other essential abilities and skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, high energy with a sense of urgency, ability to multitask, team player.
