About the Role : We are seeking two highly skilled and experienced Senior Android Developers to join our growing team. You will play a key role in developing and maintaining our innovative Android applications, contributing to the future of insurance technology. This role requires a deep understanding of Android development, strong leadership abilities, and a passion for creating high-quality, user-friendly applications. You will be responsible for not only developing features but also mentoring junior developers and contributing to the overall technical direction of our Android platform. Key Responsibilities : - Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality Android applications using Kotlin and Java. This includes implementing new features, fixing bugs, and optimizing performance. - Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and backend engineers, to define requirements, develop solutions, and ensure seamless integration. - Lead and mentor a small team of Android developers, providing technical guidance, conducting code reviews, and fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. - Optimize application performance and ensure high responsiveness across different Android devices and versions. - Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party libraries, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality. - Work closely with UI/UX designers to implement visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces, adhering to Material Design guidelines. - Write clean, maintainable, and testable code, following established coding standards and best practices. - Stay updated with the latest Android SDK releases, Jetpack components, and industry trends. Required Skills : - Strong proficiency in both Kotlin and Java, with a deep understanding of their respective strengths and weaknesses in the Android context. - Expertise in the Android SDK, Android Jetpack components (e., ViewModel, LiveData, Room, Navigation), and modern architectural patterns like MVVM (Model-View-ViewModel). - Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, JSON parsing, and working with third-party libraries for networking and data handling. - Proficiency with Android Studio, Gradle, and Git version control. - Experience with profiling and optimizing Android application performance, including memory management and UI rendering. - Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipelines for Android applications. - Experience working in an Agile development environment. - Excellent team management, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively mentor and collaborate with team members and stakeholders. Preferred Skills : - Experience with dependency injection frameworks such as Dagger/Hilt. - Knowledge of Jetpack Compose for building modern and declarative UIs. - Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (e., JUnit, Mockito) and UI testing frameworks (e., Espresso). - Experience with Kotlin Coroutines and Flow for asynchronous programming. - Experience with background processing techniques, including WorkManager and Services (ref:hirist.tech)
