Senior Test Automation Architect - Java/Selenium

Job Description : We are seeking a Senior Test Automation Architect with 12 years of experience in automation testing, Java, Selenium, and the payments domain. This role involves designing and implementing advanced automation frameworks, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving in-sprint automation within Agile environments. As a Test Automation Architect, you will lead the BA & testing teams, design robust test automation solutions, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software while working in a CI/CD pipeline. Key Responsibilities : - Design and implement robust, scalable, and reusable automation frameworks using Java, Selenium, and Cucumber (BDD framework). - Build and maintain client-specific frameworks and reusable components. - Ensure in-sprint automation and develop test strategies for functional, regression, and integration testing. - Automate complex test scenarios, including UI automation (React/Angular) and API testing. - Manage and maintain automation scripts, ensuring compatibility across browsers and cloud-based environments. - Utilize Java 8 features, including Streams, Lambda expressions, and Collections. - Develop and execute Selenium scripts to handle dynamic web elements and modern UIs (React, Angular). - Implement and manage advanced Selenium 3 features for cross-browser testing and cloud-based execution. - Ensure best practices for test data management, error handling, and script optimization. - Design and implement API automation scripts for REST and SOAP services. - Work with file handling, including parsing JSON/Excel files for automated testing. - Utilize JDBC for database validation and basic SQL knowledge for data validation and integrity checks. - Implement Agile methodologies, enabling continuous testing within the CI/CD pipeline. - Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to integrate automated tests with build tools (Maven, Gradle) and CI/CD systems (Jenkins, GitLab, or similar). - Support in-sprint and regression testing to deliver high-quality software. - Lead and mentor a team of business analysts (BAs) and test engineers. - Collaborate with stakeholders to understand testing requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. - Provide technical guidance on automation best practices and test architecture. - Manage project timelines, deliverables, and ensure alignment with business objectives. Required Skills & Qualifications : - Strong knowledge of Streams, Lambda expressions, Collections, and Multithreading. - Expertise in handling dynamic pages/elements, advanced Selenium 3 features, and modern UI frameworks (React/Angular). - Experience with data tables, parallel execution, and test reporting. - Strong knowledge in automating REST/SOAP APIs and file handling (JSON, Excel). - Familiarity with JDBC and basic SQL for database verification. - Hands-on experience with Maven, Jenkins, Git and other build/deployment tools. - Proven ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments with in-sprint automation. - Proven experience in leading BA & automation testing teams. - Excellent verbal and written communication for stakeholder collaboration. - Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex automation challenges. - Adaptable to changing project needs and timelines. - Understanding of banking and payments processes is a must. - Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
