Lead DevOps Engineer

Job Summary : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Cloud Engineer, who will work with the Cloud Infrastructure Team for revamping of cloud infrastructure and customer service delivery. You will be assessing the current set-up, finding out areas of automation and optimization, planning and deploying infrastructure automation through CI/CD in a Cloud / on-prem environment. You will be working with cloud native technologies specially Azure, AWS and DevOps tools chain such as Git, Azure DevOps, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, Prometheus, Grafana etc. to transform from a manual / semi-automated to an automated Infrastructure provisioning, deployment, configuration and Management. You will be required to work in flexible shifts (24-7) to cater business demands. Job Responsibilities : Cloud Infrastructure and DR : - Create fully automated CI/CD pipeline for Deployment, Configuration, Management and Upgrade of Cloud Infrastructure using Azure DevOps, IaC (Terraform). - Automate Kubernetes Ingress Controller Setup, Veloro Backup Setup, Prometheus Grafana and EFK setup. - Use Terraform to map more complex dependencies and identify the security, network issues, risk and compliance. - Automate Certificate Management for client proprietary applications. - Build multi-site highly available systems, make sure the system recovers faster and automated. Application Deployment : - Create fully automated CI/CD pipeline for Deployment, Configuration and Upgrade of client proprietary applications in customer on-prem / client managed public cloud in Azure by adapting CI/CD pipeline using Azure Devops, Terraform, Ansible, ArgoCD, Kubernetes. Monitoring and Logging : - Create Script using PowerShell, Bash or Shell for automating daily Tasks such as monitoring of cloud system resources, Azure App Services, Azure Open AI, Disk / Storage backup. - Setup robust monitoring to monitor the performance of the client application and solution for compute, storage, database performance and network resource utilization and performance degradation. Set up the alert, notification, and continuously fine tune. - Use Application insight, Prometheus as a source of information. - Assess and optimize logging services (e.g., EFK stack - Elasticsearch, Fluentd, Kibana) to track and maintain logs of the client Application and Solution. Cost Optimization : - Follow FinOps practices to optimize Cloud spending, rightsizing of resources, selection of right service as per business requirements. - Follow Agile methodology such as Scrum, Kanban for faster and continuous delivery. - Apply expertise in configuration changes based on industry best practices to the growing solution and system needs. - Work and interact with different customer\teams for the various client environment related service incidents to troubleshoot and resolve these. - Work on a flexible hour to support Customers in the US and other regions of the world. Desired Skills : 1. In-depth knowledge and experience in Azure Cloud. Worked on Azure App services, Azure MySQL Database, Azure Blob storage, Azure Functions, Virtual machines, Virtual Network, Azure DNS, Load Balancer, VPN Gateway, Express Route, Fabric controller, Azure AD, Azure Data Factory, Azure Service Bus, and notification hub. 2. In-depth knowledge and experience in Azure DevOps, Terraform, Ansible, ArgoCD and must have worked on medium to large project to automation Infrastructure and Web Application Provisioning, Orchestration, Upgrade and Management 3. In-depth knowledge and experience in Kubernetes. Expertise of Kubernetes cluster using Container Platform such as AKS/EKS and extensive knowledge on Pods, Replicaset, Deployments (Rolling updates, scale up, scale down), Services, Networking, Helm, Helm Chart, Stateful sets, Persistent volume, K8s scheduler, Node Affinity, Metric Server, Configmaps, certificate management etc. 4. Experience in any Scripting language such as PowerShell, Bash, Python 5. Experience in writing JSON/YAML-based templates to build and run services. 6. Understanding of AWS which includes EC2, VPC, Route53, S3, IAM, setting up VPN, Direct Connect, Load Balancer, RDS, and Storage, Log analytics etc. 7. Experience in cloud-based disaster recovery and HA system development 8. Vast experience on Linux and Windows Server administration. 9. Good knowledge of Kubernetes monitoring tools such as EFK (Elasticsearch, Fluentd, and Kibana), Data dog, Prometheus and Grafana. 10. Understanding of Routing, Switching, Network protocols, VPN, LAN, WAN, Network Security, Firewalls, NGFW, NAT, IPS, AntiMalware, Botnet, Application Control, DDoS, Web Filtering, DPI, EDR, SASE 11. Understanding ITSM tools like Zendesk, JIRA, etc. 12. Understanding of SOC Compliance Requirements. 13. Familiarity with zero trust and micro segmentation models 14. Understanding of development utilizing Agile or iterative project techniques and methodologies. 15. Can effectively communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner. Basic Qualifications : - B. Tech or MCA or BCA or any graduate with 6 years of relevant experience. - A professional with 6 years of experience in various roles as Cloud DevOps engineer with top-notch experience in Automating, Configuring and Deploying instances on Cloud environments and Data Centers, CI/CD tools namely Azure DevOps, Software Configuration Management (SCM) which encompasses experience in Build/Release, Linux/Windows Administration and in DevOps configuration management and infrastructure as a code tool namely Terraform Chef/Ansible/Puppet. - 4 Years of Expert understanding and hands-on experience of container deployment and orchestration technologies, particularly Kubernetes, Docker, and Azure Kubernetes Service. Certification : - Microsoft Certified : Azure Solutions Architect Expert is highly desired. In particular AZ-204, AZ-303 and AZ 400 are an asset. - Extensive experience working as a Cloud DevOps consultant or similar within a medium or large organization. (ref:hirist.tech)
