Job Description
Job Title : Security Analyst. Location : Pune (Hybrid 3days in a week at office, 2 days wfh, Candidate needs to report to only Pune office) (Relocation is considerable). Overall : 7 years. Relevant : 5 years. Immediate joiner and preferably 30 days of notice period-. Project Overview : We are seeking Data Protection Discovery Analysts (DSA) to join the Data Protection team. The DSA will be responsible for protecting sensitive data and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) through a range of tasks focused on compliance, data handling, and risk management. Contractor's Role : Operational Duties : - Collaborate with IT, legal, governance, and compliance teams to integrate data protection strategies into daily operations. - Support incident response teams in investigating breaches, assessing impacts, and recommending remediation. - Conduct audits of data handling practices and manage Data Subject Access Requests (SARs). - Develop, implement, and maintain data protection policies, ensuring legal and regulatory alignment. - Train employees on data protection standards, privacy regulations, and best practices. - Monitor alerts and incidents to detect potential risks or breaches. - Conduct data risk assessments and implement Discovery tools for sensitive data protection. - Report on metrics, incidents, and overall data security posture. - Assist in incident response and remediation efforts during security incidents. - Perform audits and assessments of data protection systems. Experience Level : - Level 2 (3-5 years of experience). Qualifications : - Any Graduate. Certifications : CISSP, CISM, or CEH. Must-Have Skills : - Strong background in Data Protection, Cyber Security, and Application-level Security. - In-depth knowledge of information security, cyber security, and IT operations (ITIL/NIST/ISO 27000). - Self-starter able to operate independently in a dynamic environment. - Expertise in data analysis/analytics (proficiency in SQL, KQL, or EQL). - Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills (oral and written). - Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Nice-to-Have Skills : - Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell. - Experience with Purview and Discovery tools (BigID, Sentinel, Collibra). - Knowledge of application architecture, networking, operating systems (Linux and Windows), and databases. - Familiarity with Power Automate, Power BI, and O365 tooling. - Experience in regulated financial services, particularly banking. - Understanding of data protection regulations (UK, EMEA, APAC, Americas) (ref:hirist.tech)
